Occasionally I get more than 5 minutes to do my makeup (when Leighton is napping or at her meme's house), but most of the time, I only have about negative 15 minutes to spare on my makeup.  So I need something quick, but I also need something that stays put all day and looks and feels good on my skin.  Did you know that healthy skin actually begins with a good base??  I am totally guilty of neglecting this!  I went YEARS without using foundation at all until this past year.  You know why?  Because the foundations I used 10 years ago made my skin feel too cakey and oily.  Little did I know that not all foundation is created equally.  The good news is that I've found a foundation that I actually love using and is perfect for my morning routine.  It feels just as good on my skin as it is for my skin.

Neutrogena's new Hydro Boost line is hydration-infused makeup with Hyaluronic Acid that moisturizes, plumps and gives you a beautifully fresh, flawless look all day long.  Since I was in the market for foundation, Leighton and I stopped by the beauty aisle at Walmart, and I bought Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint, Hydrating Concealer and Hydrating Lip Shine.  I can always use some more concealer and a new lip color.  My favorite things about each of these products is that they all provide coverage and hydration for 24 hours, they are lightweight, non-greasy and still non-drying, and they make your skin look silky, smooth and natural.  That's what we all want out of our makeup, right?!  To just enhance (not cover up or hide) our natural beauty.  That is exactly how I felt wearing the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost line - like myself, but better.

For my quick 5 minute morning makeup routine, I start with applying foundation with my beautyblender sponge.  The foundation gives your makeup a nice base to start with, and it gives your skin a nice, natural looking glow.  Next I use the concealer to cover up my red scar on my chin and hide circles under my eyes.  Less is more though!  Then I use my favorite powder and brush it on lightly.  Now it's time for the eyes.  Since we are only spending 5 minutes, I just brush on a little eyeshadow on my lids and then a lighter shade in the corners of my eyes and below the outer half of my brows to help brighten and widen the eyes.  Then I brush and sculpt my eyebrows with a brush.  And last but not least, I apply the lip shine to complete the look.  Done in 5 minutes flat, and you would never even be able to tell by looking!  Have you tried Neutrogena's new Hydro Boost line yet?  How do you save time getting ready in the morning?

i think flawless looking skin is the key to any great look, and I'm always looking for a product to give me a natural appearance that isn't going to end up all over my clothes.

This is the first time I've heard about their new line. I love using Hyaluronic Acid serums on my face, so combining that with a foundation sounds incredible! Thanks for sharing :)

Your makeup looks so good! I love easy morning routines - mine's about the same time and 80% of that is spent doing my lashes haha.
